Nagpur’s viral tea sensation announces “Dolly Ki Tapri” franchise rollout in India across carts, stores, and cafes, with investments starting from ₹4.5 lakh.

Sunil Patil—famously known as Dolly Chaiwala—has officially launched a pan-India franchise of his tea brand “Dolly Ki Tapri”, inviting passionate entrepreneurs to run branded tea carts, stores, or flagship cafes.
The announcement, made on his Instagram handle @dolly_ki_tapri_nagpur, calls the venture “India’s first viral street brand” and encourages applicants to build something “desi,” big, and legendary. Franchise investments range from ₹4.5–6 lakh for street carts, ₹20–22 lakh for small stores, to ₹39–43 lakh for flagship cafés.

Patil rose to nationwide fame after a clip showing him serving tea to Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates went viral in 2024. His dramatic tea-pouring style—complete with flamboyant gestures and signature style—turns everyday chai into a performance.
The announcement quickly went viral again, with social media users reacting enthusiastically and skeptically alike. Some praised his entrepreneurial journey, while others questioned the long-term viability of a franchise built on viral fame.
One user sarcastically remarked, “Education is a scam in India,” while another warned prospective franchisees about the financial risks.
According to local media, Dolly Ki Tapri—operating on Nagpur’s Sadar Bazaar sidewalk—is highly profitable, reportedly netting nearly ₹1 lakh per month even though it is not officially registered and technically an encroachment.
