The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI), under the direction of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, will launch a FASTag-based annual toll pass for private non-commercial vehicles—including cars, jeeps, and vans—from August 15, 2025.
Priced at ₹3,000, the pass offers coverage valid for one year from activation or up to 200 trips, whichever limit is reached first.

The new pass is aimed at improving travel convenience by eliminating the need to stop at toll booths, reducing congestion, and decreasing disputes.
Activation and renewal will be available on the Rajmarg Yatra app and via official websites managed by NHAI and the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH).
The pass is automatically linked to existing FASTags—no need for a new tag—provided the current one is properly affixed, linked to a valid vehicle registration, and not blacklisted.
The pass applies only at National Highway (NH) and National Expressway (NE) toll plazas managed by NHAI and will not cover state highways or privately managed toll sites, where regular FASTag charges will still apply.
Once the limit of 200 trips or one year is reached, the system reverts to standard FASTag billing; users may repurchase the annual pass anytime—even before expiry—when needed.
