UP Police announced a reward for Devprakash Madhukar, the main accused for the stampede as investigation expands; former police turned preacher Bhole baba to be questioned.

The Uttar Pradesh police announced on July 4 that they have arrested six sevadars, including two women, in connection with the tragic Hathras stampede that claimed the lives of 121 people.
Devprakash Madhukar, identified as the main accused in the First Information Report (FIR), remains at large.

Inspector General of Police (Aligarh Range) Shalabh Mathur told reporters that all six arrested individuals were sevadars at the satsang where the stampede occurred.
"When the stampede happened, these six sevadars fled from the scene. A reward of ₹1 lakh is being offered for the arrest of Prakash Madhukar, the main accused. We will soon issue a non-bailable warrant against him. Additionally, we will investigate whether this incident was a result of a conspiracy," Mathur stated.
Earlier today, the Uttar Pradesh Police conducted a search at the Ram Kutir Charitable Trust in Mainpuri for 'Bhole Baba', a self-styled godman who organized the satsang in Hathras where the stampede occurred.
Surajpal, also known as Narayan Sakar Hari or Bhole Baba, has not been named as an accused in the FIR lodged at the local Sikandra Rau police station following the stampede at Phulrai village.
