Kejriwal accuses BJP of opposing welfare programs in Delhi

Arvind Kejriwal, the national convener of the Aam Aadmi Party, claimed that the BJP had made it clear that it would not permit the Mahila Samman Yojana and Sanjeevani scheme to be implemented in the national capital.

Additionally, BJP would halt all other programs, such as free water and electricity, free bus travel for women, and free pilgrimage for the elderly.

“If you elect BJP, you will have to leave Delhi. You won't be able to survive in this city. BJP does not want to give anything to the people of Delhi; they want to deprive you of all free schemes,” Kejriwal said.

Following the Lieutenant Governor's decision to investigate the AAP's efforts to enroll women and older citizens in the Mahila Samman Yojana and Sanjeevani schemes, respectively, a press conference was convened.

If re-elected to power in the next assembly elections in the capital, the party pledged free treatment for all Delhi voters over 60 in state-run and private hospitals, as well as ₹2,100 for all women over 18 who meet other eligibility requirements.

According to Kejriwal, the BJP and Congress worked together this time to thwart the AAP, and the LG ordered the investigation in response to a complaint made by Sandeep Dikshit, a former East Delhi MP and Congress candidate for the New Delhi assembly constituency.

“Trust me, despite all the opposition, I will ensure that the Mahila Samman Yojana to provide ₹2,100 to women and the Sanjeevani Yojana will be implemented in the capital after the elections, the way I implemented all other free schemes,” said Kejriwal.

The AAP chief claimed that despite being seen on camera distributing cash to buy votes, the BJP's own leaders were not subject to an investigation.
