In a shocking incident in Karachi, Pakistan's Sindh province, five Japanese individuals narrowly escaped a suicide bombing attack on their vehicle on Friday, according to local police reports. Deputy Inspector General (DIG) East Azfar Mahesar stated that militants on a motorbike targeted the van carrying the Japanese nationals near Murtaza Chorangi in Landhi.
While all five Japanese nationals emerged unscathed, a private security guard accompanying them was injured in the attack. The Japanese individuals were en route to the Export Processing Zone from their residence in Zamzama, Clifton at the time of the incident.

One terrorist was neutralized by the security guards, while the other detonated himself in a bid to reach the van.
DIG Shaikh confirmed the safety of all five Japanese nationals. He also noted that no group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far. The vehicle transporting the Japanese nationals was bullet-proof, which likely contributed to their survival.
