After the incident came to light, Delhi Chief Minister Atishi slammed the BJP-led central government saying, "The central government has only one responsibility in Delhi - to provide security to the people of Delhi. They have completely failed in their responsibility."
The protests were carried out by activists from the Hindu Sangharsh Samity. Around 50 people on Dec 2 gathered near the Bangladesh mission in Agartala to show outrage over Hindu monk Chinmoy Das's arrest and alleged attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh.
