The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially initiated the online application process for the UPSC (IAS) Indian Administrative Service, Detailed Application Form 1 (IAS DAF 1) for the year 2023.
Candidates who have successfully cleared the preliminary examination can now access the official website to complete their UPSC IAS DAF 1 application. It is important to note that the deadline for submission is July 19, with the cut-off time set at 6 pm.

To fill out and submit the DAF 1 form, candidates must log in through the OTR portal, which grants them access to the application. The UPSC DAF 1 form can be found exclusively on the official website: upsc.gov.in.
The UPSC had earlier announced the results of the preliminary examination on June 12, paving the way for qualified candidates to move forward in the selection process.
However, it is crucial to understand that the submission of DAF 1 does not guarantee automatic admission to the civil services Main exam in 2023. Candidates should remain aware of the fact that their performance in subsequent stages of the examination will heavily influence their final selection.
Approximately three to four weeks before the commencement of the examination, eligible candidates can expect the e-admit card and a detailed timetable to be uploaded on the UPSC website. These documents will provide candidates with essential information and instructions regarding the examination, ensuring a smooth and well-prepared experience for all participants.
As the application process for UPSC IAS 2023 DAF 1 commences, candidates are advised to review the provided details carefully and adhere to the given deadlines. By following the instructions diligently, aspirants can enhance their chances of success in the highly esteemed civil services examination.
