New Delhi: New York Fashion Week showcased a designer who seeks to challenge gender stereotypes and encourage individuality through fashion. Aishwarya Singhal, who grew up in India, debuted her latest collection at the event, inspired by the “Male Gaze” prevalent in both Indian and Western cultures. Her designs seek to break down traditional gender roles and social constructs surrounding clothing, opening the door to interpretation and self-expression.
Singhal’s experience working with well-known design houses, including Altuzarra, Oscar de la Renta, and Cynthia Rowley, has helped her develop vital skills as both founder and designer of her own brand. Multitasking, decision-making, and delegation have been crucial to her success, and she continues to push herself out of her comfort zone to grow and evolve creatively.

Singhal’s collection at New York Fashion Week 2023 was a stunning tribute to individuality and empowerment through fashion. Her pieces celebrate the unique identities of wearers and reject the notion of an ideal “Aishwarya Singhal.” Singhal aims to empower individuals through fashion and break down gender stereotypes, making waves in the fashion industry with her vision and dedication.
