Ed Sheeran invited Shilpa Rao on stage to perform a Telugu cover of 'Chuttamalle' from the movie ‘Devara’ during his ongoing Mathematics Tour. The performance went viral, with fans praising Sheeran for embracing Indian music and culture.

British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran stunned his fans at his Bengaluru concert with a performance of the Telugu song "Chuttamalle" from the movie ‘Devara.’
During his tour in India, the British singer immersed himself in the local culture, learning Telugu after mastering the sitar.

For the performance, he invited renowned Indian playback singer Shilpa Rao to join him in singing the popular track from the Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor starrer.
The duo's performance quickly went viral on social media, with fans praising Sheeran for his effort to embrace Indian music and culture.
After attempting to sing in Punjabi last year, fans were ecstatic to see the singer crooning in Telugu.
Later, Sheeran posted a BTS video on his handle showing him learning how to speak Telugu words with Shilpa acting as his dialect teacher.
"Obsessed with @shilparao’s voice for the last while, a real privilege to share the stage tonight and learn a new language!" he said in a post.
Sheeran's current Mathematics Tour, which has attracted enormous audiences nationwide, has already performed in Chennai and Hyderabad.
The renowned composer AR Rahman joined him on stage during his performance in Chennai.
The two sang a version of Urvashi, a legendary ballad. In the upcoming days, he would also perform in Delhi NCR and Shillong.
After the Bengaluru police interrupted the singer's street performance on Feb 9, he provided an explanation for the sudden cancellation of the performance, saying that he had been granted permission to play at Church Street beforehand.
The musician posted a brief statement on his Instagram story, claiming that they had "permission to busk" and that he wasn't the only one "randomly turning up."
"We had permission to busk, by the way. Hence, us playing in that exact spot was planned out beforehand. It wasn't just us randomly turning up. All good, though. See you at the show tonight," Sheeran wrote.
