This year, about 850 undergraduate students at IIT Delhi have received job offers, which is more than the past three years—712 in 2022, 768 in 2023, and 781 in 2024.
Several big companies have made multiple offers to students, including names like American Express, Barclays, BCG, Deutsche India, Google, Graviton, Meesho, Microsoft, Oracle, PayU, Squarepoint Capital, and Texas Instruments.

During this placement session, UG students from IIT Delhi were also employed by Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) such as the Centre for Development of Telematics, Bharat Petroleum Corp. Ltd., Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, Petronet LNG Limited, and Indian Oil Corporation of India.
Additionally, UG students have earned over 40 overseas offers from esteemed institutions in many parts of the world, such as the United States, Japan, the Netherlands, South Korea, Taiwan, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom.
An exit survey by the institute shows that around 30% of the 2024 graduating batch chose alternative career paths.
This includes 7% starting their own ventures, 6% going for higher studies, and 17% preparing for competitive exams like civil or engineering services.
A similar trend is expected among the undergraduate students graduating in 2025.
Naresh Varma Datla, professor-in-charge of the Office of Career Services (OCS), said, “IIT Delhi had a very good start and has been doing very well so far. We believe that a similar trend will continue in the upcoming days as well. The Office of Career Services is focused on expanding the range of companies and job profiles in the coming days to cater to the students appearing for placements.”
