In a series of grievances lodged with the Electoral Commission, senior figures from the Congress party expressed their disapproval of comments made by the Prime Minister, suggesting that their manifesto echoed the sentiments of the Muslim League and hinted at divisive intentions. The complaints were presented by a group including former Union Minister Salman Khurshid and other notable members of the party.
The Congress delegation also objected to the BJP's alleged misuse of military imagery in their campaign, a matter previously brought to the commission's attention. Additionally, they accused a Union Minister and BJP candidate of misrepresenting his financial disclosures in his electoral affidavit.

Concerns were raised about large-scale promotional materials featuring the Prime Minister within educational institutions, which the party claims violate the electoral code of conduct. Furthermore, Congress criticized the airing of "The Kerala Story," a film they claim misrepresents a community and propagates the controversial concept of 'Love Jihad,' potentially swaying voters and disrupting communal harmony.
Lastly, Congress alleged undue pressure by the Returning Officer of the Tripura West Lok Sabha constituency on a candidate to disclose financial details related to campaign materials, despite no legal or code of conduct requirement to do so.
