Chaudhary highlights India’s democratic achievements, inclusive growth, and human rights record, contrasting Islamabad’s repression and instability.

India delivered a powerful rebuttal to Pakistan’s claims on Jammu and Kashmir at the United Nations, exposing Islamabad’s history of political manipulation, election rigging, and human rights violations.
Speaking at the General Debate of the UN General Assembly’s Third Committee on October 8, P P Chaudhary, leader of India’s first delegation to the UNGA and Chairperson of the Joint Parliamentary Committee on One Nation, One Election, said Pakistan has repeatedly used international forums to spread false narratives.

Rejecting Pakistan’s “baseless remarks” on Jammu and Kashmir, Chaudhary firmly reaffirmed that the Union Territory is an integral and inalienable part of India. He criticized Pakistan for its “habitual misuse” of UN platforms to pursue narrow political agendas, highlighting a litany of abuses: rigged elections, imprisonment of popular leaders, violent suppression of protests, and even attacks on its own citizens.
Chaudhary cited Pakistan’s Army Chief’s own words, who likened the country to a “dump truck,” underscoring the deep dysfunction in Islamabad’s governance.
Highlighting India’s progress, Chaudhary noted that over 250 million citizens have been lifted out of multidimensional poverty in the last decade. Nearly 800 million benefit from the Public Distribution System, while social security now reaches 64.3% of the population.
Concluding his address, Chaudhary contrasted India’s stable, inclusive, and democratic governance with Pakistan’s record of repression and instability, reaffirming India’s commitment to peace, democracy, and equitable growth.
