Bhagwat has expressed concern over rising conflicts between temples and mosques, condemning efforts to incite communal tensions for political gain.
The BJP-led Mahayuti alliance in Maharashtra expanded its cabinet by inducting 39 new ministers, raising its strength to 42, but left several MLAs disappointed over exclusion.

Bharat Gogavale said the three Mahayuti allies — BJP, Shiv Sena and NCP — are currently holding talks regarding crucial home portfolio allocation. “When Devendra Fadnavis was the deputy CM in the previous Shinde-led government, he also held the home department,” he said.
Former chief minister Eknath Shinde and NCP head Ajit Pawar are expected to take oath alongside Fadnavis as his deputies at Mumbai’s Azad Maidan at 5.30 PM. Besides Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and about a dozen Union Ministers will be among some 42,000 attendees.
Gandhi said that the police action went against the Constitution and his rights as the Leader of Opposition. "The police did not even accept my request to go alone with them," he said.
