The mob targeted hostels of medical universities in Bishkek, which are inhabited by students from India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. No Indian students have been injured in the attacks.
The deceased, whose identity has not been revealed, was a staff member of the United Nations Department of Safety and Security (DSS).

22-year-old Amardeep Singh, a resident of Brampton, Surrey, and Abbotsford areas of Canada, has been charged with first degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder.

The motion titled "Political Interference, Violence or Intimidation on Canadian Soil" was passed on Wednesday with 326 votes for and none against.
