The Centre for Promotional Development of Urdu Teachers (CPDUT) at Aligarh Muslim University recently hosted a seminar titled "Muashare Ki Tameer Mein Khwateen Qalamkaron Ka Hissa" (The Role of Women Writers in the Development of Society). This event, centered around the theme of women empowerment, sought to highlight the pivotal role of female writers in shaping societal narratives and fostering gender equality.
Professor Vibha Sharma, from the Department of English, graced the occasion as the chief guest. In her address, she emphasized the importance of encouraging young faculty members, particularly women teachers and students, to embrace their writing talents. She particularly praised the literary contributions of stalwarts like Quratul Ain Hider and Ismat Chughtai, whose works have illuminated Urdu literature with their profound insights.
