The program is offered by the Discipline of Psychology under the School of Social Sciences. It is designed to train professionals in rehabilitation psychology, focusing on assessment, intervention, and support for persons with disabilities across different stages of life.

Eligibility conditions are aligned with the Rehabilitation Council of India Norms and Regulations, 2017.

Applicants must hold either a bachelor’s degree in regular mode with general psychology studied in all three years, or a master’s degree in any branch of psychology in regular or distance mode, or a master’s degree in counseling psychology in regular or distance mode.

The qualifying degree must be obtained from a UGC-recognized university.

Candidates in the general category must have secured at least 55% aggregate marks in their qualifying examination, while SC, ST, and OBC-NCL candidates must have obtained a minimum of 50%.

The university has clarified that no additional weightage will be given for prior work experience, professional training, or service. In case of a tie in entrance test scores, merit will be determined based on date of birth, with the older candidate ranked higher.

The entrance examination fee is ₹1000, and the program fee is ₹22000.

The diploma program has an annual intake of 200 seats under the July admission cycle. Up to 25 seats will be allocated to each regional or work center.

Reservations will be implemented center-wise in accordance with Government of India norms for SC, ST, OBC Non-Creamy Layer, EWS, PwD, and other applicable categories.

Final seat allocation will depend on availability at the chosen regional center and the candidate’s position in the region-wise merit list.

The entrance test will consist of 50 multiple-choice questions, each carrying four marks, with a total of 200 marks. One mark will be deducted for every incorrect response. Unanswered questions will not attract negative marking.

The test will be conducted offline at designated university centers across the country. Candidates must record their responses on an OMR sheet. The duration of the examination will be 90 minutes.
