Two individuals, including a 17-year-old, tragically lost their lives in Uttar Pradesh's Gonda today after a Toyota Fortuner SUV collided with a bike.
The SUV was part of the convoy belonging to Karan Bhushan Singh, the BJP candidate from the Kaiserganj Lok Sabha seat and son of six-time MP and former wrestling chief, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.

Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh had previously made national headlines due to allegations of sexual harassment by the country's top wrestlers.
Recently, a Delhi court framed charges against him in the case. These allegations appear to have impacted his political prospects, leading the BJP to field his son, Karan, as a candidate.
Karan Bhushan Singh is also involved in wrestling administration. Additionally, Pratik Bhushan Singh, another son of Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, serves as an MLA from the Gonda seat.
Visual evidence from the accident site reveals that the SUV had "police escort" written on the rear windscreen, indicating its association with a VIP convoy.
The vehicle bears the registration number UP32HW1800 and is reportedly registered under the name of the Nandini Nagar Educational Institute, which is run by Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh's family.
According to the First Information Report (FIR), Chanda Begum, the complainant, said that around 9 am today, her 17-year-old son Rehan and 24-year-old nephew Shahzad were riding a bike to purchase medicines when the speeding SUV, approaching from the opposite direction, collided with their two-wheeler.
Tragically, both Rehan and Shahzad lost their lives at the scene. A 60-year-old woman, identified as Sita Devi, sustained injuries and has been hospitalized.
The accident drew a large crowd to the site, with family members of the victims demanding justice.
Law enforcement authorities promptly arrested the driver and impounded the SUV. However, there remains uncertainty about whether Karan Bhushan Singh was traveling with the convoy at the time of the accident.
Senior police officer Radheysham Rai confirmed that the victims' bodies have been sent for autopsy, and further investigation is underway.
The car with registration number UP32HW1800 is allegedly linked to the Nandini Nagar educational institute, associated with Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh's family.
Farman Khan, a relative of the victims, described the harrowing scene: "When we arrived at the spot, there was blood on the road. Local residents informed us that Karan Bhushan Singh's convoy of 4-5 cars had passed through, and the Fortuner had collided with the bike. Upon reaching the hospital, the doctors informed us that our children had succumbed to their injuries. We implore for justice; our hearts are shattered."
