The Hyderabad-bound bus, which went up in flames in the south Indian state's Palnadu district, was carrying 42 passengers who were returning after casting their votes.

Six people died and several were critically injured when a private bus collided with a tipper lorry and caught fire in Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday.
The bus was going to Hyderabad from Nilayapalem in Bapatla district, carrying the passengers. Survivors said they were going back to Hyderabad after voting in the simultaneous state assembly and Lok Sabha elections on Monday.

According to the survivors, the collision was so massive that both vehicles were destroyed and the bus caught fire, resulting in the tragic incident.
The injured are being treated at a government hospital in Chilakaluripet and are also being shifted to Guntur Hospital for better medical care.
The victims included three people of the same family, Kasi Brahmeshwara Rao (62), Lakshmi (58), and Srisai (9), along with bus driver Anji and tipper driver Hari Singh. One is still unidentified.
Andhra Pradesh Governor S. Abdul Nazeer offered his condolences for the lost lives and asked the officials to provide better treatment to the injured.
