Chaitanyananda Saraswati, facing allegations from female students, allegedly used a London-based WhatsApp number to mislead investigators and claimed immunity by invoking the Chief Justice.

A self-styled spiritual leader in Delhi, Chaitanyananda Saraswati, is under investigation for allegedly sexually harassing women students at the Sri Sharada Institute of Indian Management.
According to police sources, he attempted to misdirect investigators by communicating via a UK number, stating “I’m untouchable” and threatening to contact the Chief Justice to influence proceedings.

Authorities say Saraswati engaged in the scheme after complaints surfaced from several female students citing unwanted overtures and harassment. In his conversations with the police, he asserted that he would invoke higher judicial intervention, hinting at a belief in being beyond the law.
Investigators also recovered additional evidence, including fake visiting cards purporting diplomatic credentials: one card allegedly claimed he was a United Nations Permanent Ambassador, another that he was a BRICS Joint Commission member and Special Envoy of India.
Reports suggest Saraswati had been in the UK when the first complaints were filed and had returned later, frequently changing hideouts to evade arrest.
He is also known to have a prior criminal record with multiple FIRs, including a 2016 molestation case from which he was released.
In addition to communication control, he allegedly used honeytrap techniques, sent provocative texts, and spied on students via a CCTV monitoring app. Secretly photographing women and staff was also part of the accusation.
The case has drawn backlash over the audacity of the tactics and the misuse of legal and digital tools to evade accountability. The Delhi Police are continuing their investigation and reportedly already seized the fake IDs and digital evidence.
