The celebrations include the “Surya Tilak” ceremony where precisely at noon, the sun’s rays will fall on the forehead of Ram Lalla, which will be made possible by an elaborate mechanism involving mirrors and lenses.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday greeted the nation on the occasion of Ram Navami, saying this celebration is a “generational milestone” and that the temple-town is experiencing an unparalleled joy as this is the first time the festival will be celebrated there after the consecration of the Ram temple.
Sharing his thoughts in a series of posts on X, PM Modi said his heart is filled with joy and gratitude on this sacred occasion.

"The first Ram Navami after the Pran Pratishtha in Ayodhya is a generational milestone, weaving together centuries of devotion with a new era of hope and progress. This is a day crore of Indians waited for," the prime minister said.
“This is the first Ram Navami when our Ram Lalla has been enthroned in the grand Ram temple of Ayodhya. Today Ayodhya is in an unparalleled joy in this celebration of Ram Navami,” Modi wrote.“
After waiting for five centuries, today we have got the privilege of celebrating this Ram Navami in Ayodhya in this manner.”
Ayodhya temple was recently consecrated at the Babri Masjid demolition site.
This is the fruit of the hard work and sacrifices made by the people of the country over many years, Modi said.
"May the blessings of Prabhu Shri Ram always remain upon us and guide our paths towards righteousness and peace, illuminating our lives with wisdom and courage,” he added.
The Ram Navami celebrations will mark the inaugural event following the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony at the Ram temple in Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya.
"I am confident that Maryada Purushottam Bhagwan Ram's life and ideals will become a strong basis for constructing 'Viksit Bharat'. His blessings will provide new energy to the resolve of 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat'," the prime minister said.
Elaborate preparations and stringent security measures have been taken for the seamless execution of the festivities.
The highlight of the celebrations include the “Surya Tilak” ceremony where precisely at noon, the sun’s rays will fall on the forehead of Ram Lalla, which will be done with the help of an elaborate mechanism involving mirrors and lenses.
Moreover, the “Chappan Bhog”, will be presented to the deity on the concluding day of Chaitra Navratri (April 17).
Chief priest of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple, Acharya Satyendra Das, said meticulous planning has been done ensuring that Ram Navami will be celebrated with fervor and enthusiasm
