Among the leaders that have been invited by PM Modi for his swearing-in ceremony are the Prime Ministers of Nepal, Bangladesh and Mauritius, the President of Sri Lanka and the King of Bhutan.

Narendra Modi, who is set to become India’s prime minister for the third time in a row, will take his oath on June 8 in the presence of leaders from the neighboring countries who have been invited to the ceremony.
Among the leaders that have been invited by PM Modi for his swearing-in ceremony are the Prime Ministers of Nepal, Bangladesh and Mauritius, the President of Sri Lanka and the King of Bhutan. These leaders earlier congratulated Modi on winning the Lok Sabha elections for the third time.

Modi’s Bangladesh counterpart Sheikh Hasina, Nepali counterpart Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Mauritian Prime Minister Pravind Kumar Jugnauth, including Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe and Druk Gyalpo Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, Bhutan’s monarch congratulated him on his win.
Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party, who won 282 seats in 2014 and 303 in the 2019 election, won 240 seats this time, which is 32 seats short of the 272-majority mark.
He is being backed by Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal (United) and Chandrababu Naidu’s Telugu Desam Party (TDP) among other allies for rest of the 53 seats of the party-led National Democratic Alliance to seal a third term.
In 2014, the leaders of SAARC (South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation) countries attended had attended Modi’s first swearing-in ceremony while in 2019 leaders of the BIMSTEC (Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Thailand) countries attended his swearing-in ceremony.
