PM Modi Accuses TMC Government of Marginalizing Hindus in Bengal

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today on Friday made a bold statement that the Trinamool Congress government in West Bengal is intent on relegating Hindus to the status of second-class citizens. He made these remarks during a rally in Burdwan, where he also brought up the incident involving women in Sandeshkhali. He alleged that the Trinamool Congress sought to shield the main accused, known as Sheikh Shahjahan.

The Prime Minister also alluded to a recent controversial public statement by Trinamool Congress MLA Humayun Kabir, without mentioning him by name. He expressed concern over the MLA’s threat that Hindus would be drowned in the River Bhagirathi, questioning the state of affairs in West Bengal and accusing the Trinamool Congress of engaging in appeasement politics.

PM Modi also touched upon the recent decision by a division bench of the Calcutta High Court to cancel 25,753 teaching and non-teaching positions in state-run schools in West Bengal. He empathized with the innocent candidates who had obtained their jobs honestly and assured them of the party’s support. He advised the party’s West Bengal unit to establish a legal and social media cell to provide legal assistance to genuine candidates who can prove their honesty. He warned that those who secured jobs through unfair means would face consequences.

On a personal note, PM Modi stated that his role as Prime Minister was not for personal enjoyment but to fulfill the dreams of the people. He emphasized that he does not have a personal heir and considers the people of the country as his heirs.
