On behalf of the Maharashtra government, the Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education in New Delhi signed an agreement with the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT).

The establishment of a Center of Excellence (CoE) in artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, the internet of things (IoT), Industry 4.0, 3D printing, and related technologies in Maharashtra has been declared by the union government.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been inked at the state's Government Polytechnic and Government Engineering College regarding capacity training and R&D centers.

According to the Union Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology's statement, the program is anticipated to generate possibilities for students, equipping them with the skills and job placements needed to thrive in the quickly changing technology landscape.
On behalf of the Maharashtra government, the Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education in New Delhi signed an agreement with the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT).
"The collaboration between NIELIT and the Government of Maharashtra will ensure that students receive practical education tailored to the current needs of the industry," said union IT minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.
According to Vaishnaw, this initiative would be expanded to include other states, with a special emphasis on polytechnic schools, ITIs, and the recently founded university in the region.
"This is an exciting opportunity for our youth, especially in the IT industry," the minister added.
Vaishnaw praised State Minister for Higher and Technical Education Chandrakant Patil's initiative in identifying the country's industrial strength and the necessity of providing its youth with marketable skills in the current economic climate.
"The industrial strength of Maharashtra, which has a 150-200 year-old industrial base, is combined with the technical education necessary for today's youth. This framework aligns perfectly with the National Education Policy by focusing on practical and technical education," the IT minister added.
