Trump launches a blistering critique of European immigration policies, framing migration as an existential threat during his Scotland visit.

US President Donald Trump landed in Scotland for a four-day visit and issued a stark warning to European nations regarding immigration.
Addressing reporters after disembarking at Prestwick Airport, he bluntly stated, “On immigration, you better get your act together or you’re not going to have Europe anymore… immigration is killing Europe.” He described the influx of migrants as a “horrible invasion” that threatens the continent's future.

Trump framed the situation as a failure of European leadership, noting that while some leaders resisted the challenge, others did not, and deserved praise for their tough stance.
He contrasted this with his own administration's border control, claiming that “last month, we had nobody entering our country” at the US‑Mexico border.
During the trip, which includes visits to his Scottish golf resorts at Turnberry and Aberdeenshire, Trump is scheduled to meet UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
He praised Starmer as “a good man” who had concluded a trade deal, and described von der Leyen as “highly respected,” adding there was a “good 50/50 chance” of reaching a beneficial U.S.–EU trade agreement.
In addition to immigration, Trump also slammed wind turbines in Europe, stating: “Stop the windmills. You’re ruining your countries… they are killing your birds,” criticizing them for blighting landscapes and harming wildlife.
