IIM Udaipur launches BBA programme with bilingual support; applications open for first undergraduate batch

The Indian Institute of Management Udaipur has launched a new Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) programme with bilingual learning support, with applications now open for aspiring undergraduate students.

The programme will begin in July 2026 and will be offered in a fully online format, making it one of the first undergraduate management courses introduced by the institute. It will allow students to study in both Hindi and English, enabling wider participation from learners across the country.

According to the institute, the four-year BBA programme has been designed to make quality management education more inclusive. The bilingual model aims to reduce language barriers that often prevent students from Hindi-medium or regional-language backgrounds from accessing top business schools.

Students will be able to choose their preferred language for lectures and course material. The programme is expected to use digital tools and technology-enabled delivery methods so that students can switch between Hindi and English depending on their comfort level.

The BBA course follows a four-year structure with multiple exit options, in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 framework. Students exiting after one year will receive a certificate, after two years a diploma, after three years a BBA degree, and after completing the fourth year a BBA (Honours) degree.

The curriculum is expected to focus on practical management skills and entrepreneurship. Early years will emphasise workplace readiness and small-business management, while later stages will cover strategy, leadership and research-oriented learning.

Officials said the programme has been developed with accessibility in mind and will be mobile-friendly and compatible with low-bandwidth internet, allowing students from smaller towns and rural areas to participate.

With this initiative, IIM Udaipur joins a growing number of Indian Institutes of Management that are expanding their undergraduate offerings, reflecting a broader shift in management education beyond traditional postgraduate MBA programmes.
